Prayers for the repose of the soul of Betty De La Garza

 It is with great sadness that I ask the prayers of St. Stephen’s for the repose of the soul of Betty De La Garza, who died today at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, surrounded by her family and with Fr. Jamie present, who administered the Rites at the Time of Death and anointed her.

Betty was a very faithful member of St. Stephen’s for many years, as was her mother Georgia Patneude, who died last year.

I ask your prayers as well for her husband, Ciro, their son Ciro Jr, Amanda, Kaden and Madisyn, and their entire family at this time.

The Requiem Eucharist will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 1 (The Feast of All Saints) at St. Stephen’s.

A luncheon will follow.

Committal will be at Wild Rose Cemetery, Georgetown, Minnesota.

  Deliver your servant, Betty, O Sovereign Lord Christ, from all
evil, and set him free from every bond; that she may rest with
all your saints in the eternal habitations; where with the
Father and the Holy Spirit you live and reign, one God, for
ever and ever. Amen.

Depart, O Christian soul, out of this world;
In the Name of God the Father Almighty who created you;
In the Name of Jesus Christ who redeemed you;
In the Name of the Holy Spirit who sanctifies you.
May your rest be this day in peace,
    and your dwelling place in the Paradise of God.

 May her soul and the souls of all the departed, through the
mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Almighty God, look with pity upon the sorrows of your servants, Ciro, Ciro jr, Amanda, Madisyn, Kaden and their family for whom we pray. Remember them, Lord, in your mercy;
nourish them with patience; comfort them with a sense of your goodness; lift up your countenance upon them; and give them
peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
