From the Green Team:
Carbon Fast for Lent -- from St. Stephen's Green Team
As we all know, Lent is
the 40-day season of fasting and prayer leading to Easter. Traditionally, we
give something up during Lent in order to create new space for God in our
lives. The St. Stephen’s Green Team asks St. Stephen’s congregants and friends to
consider engaging in a Carbon Fast for Lent – reducing the amount of carbon
dioxide we put into the atmosphere – as a way of continuing to develop our
abilities to be good stewards of God’s Creation. To sign up for a weekly email
giving you ideas for reducing your carbon footprint, please go to this
link: https://climatestewardsusa.org/carbon-fast-for-lent/ or you can read more about
Carbon Fasting here https://www.ecofaithrecovery.org/carbonfast/ Thank you from the Green
Team!
