 Words of Wisdom:

"True community is based upon equality, mutuality, and reciprocity. It affirms the richness of individual diversity as well as the common human ties that bind us together." ~Pauli Murray

From the Green Team:

October is fire prevention month. Device Charging: Follow National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) protocols by charging lithium-ion batteries on hard, flat surfaces away from exit paths. Smoke Detectors: Install alarms at every level of the home, inside bedrooms, and outside sleeping areas. Test alarms monthly and change batteries once a year. Escape Planning: Create a dedicated fire escape plan with all household members and practice it twice a year. Keep paths completely unobstructed. Fire Extinguishers: Keep accessible, highly rated models in vulnerable areas like the kitchen or garage.
