Movie opportunity – Tuesday, January
23 at 4 pm OR 7 pm, West Acres Cinema
A new documentary film will have its
initial showing all across the country on January 23. “A Case for
Love” is a heartfelt yet personally challenging movie inspired by the teachings
and writings of our Presiding Bishop Michael Curry. The film examines whether
or not love–specifically unselfish love–is the solution to the extreme societal
and political divide facing the U.S.
If you’d like to join a group from St.
Stephen’s to see the movie, contact Amy Phillips (kaphillip@gmail.com) or Sandy Holbrook (slholbrook41@gmail.com) by January 14. Be
sure to indicate your preference for the 4pm or the 7 pm
showing. Ticket price is $14. Those who express
interest will be notified by January 17 regarding how many individuals signed
up for each showing and those individuals can, if they wish, coordinate online
ticket purchase and seating with others going at the same time.
