Please join us on Sun. March 6 at our 11:00 am celebration of the Holy Eucharist for the dedication of St. Stephen’s new altar rail. The rail, given by Fr. Jamie Parsley and his mother, Joyce Parsley, in memory of Albert Parsley (+September 14, 2010), will replace the L-shaped sectional rail that divided the altar from the congregation. The new altar rail will have an opening in front of the altar which will allow freer access of the people to the altar, as well as on the ends. It will be more secured throughout.
Along with the new altar rail, other changes in the church may be noticed. Our processional cross will now be located on the opposite wall (away from the organ and the cantor’s chair), and the pulpit has been raised.
So, join us on Sunday March 6 as we dedicate our new altar rail.
We will also bid Farewell to the Alleluia at the conclusion of our service as we "bury" this joyous word for the Lenten season.
