Words of Wisdom:

At the end, it’s not about what you have or even what you’ve accomplished. It’s about who you’ve made better. It’s about what you’ve given back. ~Denzel Washington

From the Green Team:

Something to think about. The Earth is 4.6 billion years old. Let’s scale that to 46 years. We have been here for 4 hours. Our industrial revolution began 1 minute ago. In that time, we have destroyed more than 50% of the world’s forests. This isn’t sustainable.

·       Planting one tree in an open field can increase bird biodiversity from zero to 80.

·       3 trees properly placed around a house can save up to 30% of energy use.

Today at Mass we celebrated Andrea Olsen 's official name change, based on a brand new liturgy found in the latest edition of The Book of Occasional Services. Here she is after Mass in front of our famous (or, to some, notorious) Rainbow/Integrity window. We're all so happy for you, Andrea!

Congratulations, Amy and Josh!

A HUGE congratulations to Amy Morrow Stalboerger and Josh Stalboerger who were married last evening!

Thank you, Mother Leslie!

It was so good having Mother Leslie Roraback , Associate Rector of St. John's Episcopal Church and Tallahassee, Florida, and a long-time dear friend of Fr. Jamie's, preaching and con-celebrating at Mass this morning.

Words of Wisdom:

“For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.”

~Nelson Mandela

Some Green Team tips:

Small acts, when multiplied by millions of people, can transform the world.

·       Buy secondhand books, borrow from the library, buy digital versions.

·       Reuse jars and plastic containers to store food.

·       Store fruit in a glass jar. It stays fresh much longer and avoids waste.

·       Plant bee friendly plants and flowers.
