The prayers of St. Stephen’s are requested for the repose of the soul of Marjorie Sorge, wife of Bishop Elliott Sorge. Bishop Sorge was the second Rector of St. Stephen’s (1960-1964), before becoming the Bishop of South Central Brazil. Marge died last evening (August 11, 2018)
Please also keep in your prayers her children, including the Rev. Marianne Ell (who served at St. Peter’s Williston), and their entire family at this time.
Almighty God, before whom live all who die in the Lord: Receive our sister Marge into the courts of your heavenly dwelling place. Let her heart and soul now ring out in joy to you, O Lord, the living God, and the God of those who live. This we ask through Christ our Lord. Amen.
