Good to Know:

What is the difference between disciples and apostles?

Although both apostles and disciples were followers of Jesus, there is a distinction between the two that is primarily based on authority. While disciples followed Jesus and learned from him, the apostles were in charge of continuing Jesus' ministry, spreading the gospel, and creating worship communities.

It was a glorious Easter at St. Stephen's! The church was full, the priest ran out of Communion bread and we welcomed four young people into our congregation. Welcome to Erica, Gabe and John (a space was left for Steve who was unable to be there for the photo). Alleluia! Christ is risen!

Good to Know:

This week, Christians will be celebrating Easter, the day on which the resurrection of Jesus is said to have taken place. The date of celebration changes from year to year.

The reason for this variation is that Easter always falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon following the spring equinox.
