brother of Leo Wilking, who died recently.
Prayers also for Leo and Martha and their family at

A memorial service and interment of ashes will be
held in New York City at a later date.

Prayers for Pr. Mark, Vanessa & Max Strobel on the eve of the Bishop's election
The prayers of St. Stephen’s are requested for Pr. Mark Strobel, St. Stephen’s own Vanessa Strobel and their son, Max, as the Eastern Synod of the ELCA
meets on Saturday in Grand Forks to elect a new Bishop of the Eastern Synod.
Pr. Mark is a nominee for Bishop.
O God of unchangeable power and eternal light: Look favorably on your whole Church,
that wonderful and sacred mystery;
by the effectual working of your providence, carry out in tranquillity the plan
of salvation; let the whole world see
and know that things which were cast down are being raised up, and things which had
grown old are being made new,
and that all things are being brought to their perfection by him through whom all things
were made, your Son Jesus Christ our Lord; who lives and reigns with you, in
the unity of the Holy
Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Undercroft bathroom refurbishing...Before and After
The St. Stephen's Undercoft Bathroom has been refurbished. Gone are the 1950s-era appliances and the formica walling. New fixtures, new dry walling, new flooring and a new coat of paint have made a major difference. Thank you to Sandy Kenz for spearheading the refurbishing, and to her son, Jake, for doing all the hard work.
