Memorial service for Jackie Parsley

The memorial service for my cousin, Jackie Parsley, 42, will be Saturday, May 4 at 10:00 am at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church.

A reception will be held following the service.

She died Friday, April 19, 2013 in Milwaukee, WI.

Private committal of ashes will be at a later date.

Prayers for the repose of the soul of Jackie Parsley

I ask your prayers for the repose of the soul of my cousin, Jackie Parsley, who died today very suddenly and unexpectedly.

Prayers also for her partner, Jen; her sisters and their families; and for all her friends

Rest eternal grant to her, O Lord; and let light perpetual shine upon her. May she rest in peace and rise in glory.

The prayers of the St. Stephen's community are requested for the repose of the soul of Ron Lee, brother of Greta Taylor, who died this morning (April 16, 2013).

Please keep Greta and Verdell and all of Ron’s family in your prayers as well.

Wednesday Eucharist resumes at St. Stephen's

Join us this evening as we resume our Wednesday evening Eucharists at St. Stephen’s at 6:00 pm.

 Our Wednesday night Eucharist is based on Enriching Our Worship, a book of supplemental materials to The Book of Common Prayer, in which we will find the use of more inclusive language (i.e. the lack of gender-specific language in reference to God) in our worship of God.

Incense will offered at this Mass as well.

Supper tonight will be at a restaurant of  Gin Templeton’s choice in honor of her birthday tomorrow.
